2003 to Current  

Friends of Detroit & Tri-County, Detroit, MI
    Technology Director, Systems and Network Engineer

    Goal:         Helping  a community to become self-sufficient

    Action:      Understanding the community’s values. Establishment of community center. 
                     Deployment of three computer labs, a telecommunications closet and a VOIP
                     phone system in addition to authenticated free wireless in home internet
                     access spanning four square miles.

    Outcome:  Establishment of a safe in-house learning environment used daily by an
                     average of 50 people. The wireless network is used at all times with an                       average of 75 authenticated users. Phone cost reduction of 75%.

   Technology Developer / Advisor

   Goal:         Improve existing holographic technology for real life application

   Action:      Adapted a NVIDIA device driver to work with holographic hardware.

   Outcome: This holographic display was used by Homeland Security at the
                   Super Bowl XL in Detroit

    Goal:        Bridging the Digital Divide

    Action:     Co-wrote curricula for Oakland, Pontiac and Detroit schools. Deployed long     
                    distance learning infrastructure across four Oakland Technology Centers.           
                    Set up multiple private Technology Centers in local communities. Co-
                    developed and ran multiple technology oriented summer camps for
                    unprivileged children. Advisor to other organizations seeking tech-solutions.

   Outcome:  Pilot programs became standardized and curricula accepted for
                    mainstreaming. Technology centers have continued to flourish.

    Web Designer / Administrator

    Goal:        Attractive web site with multiple signup forms
   
    
Action:     Worked with a graphic design team to produce attractive graphics Created a                     MySQL database and a PHP based management and user input interface with                     data validation

   Outcome:  All event and team registrations were now being handled online vs. over the phone                     and paper.

   Goal:         Higher productivity and security

   Action:      Active Directory rollout with an Exchange server

   Outcome:  After restricting access to non work related material and implementation of                     Outlook followed by group and one on one training sessions, productivity begun
